Odoo Implementer – Job Responsibilities
1. Requirement Gathering & Analysis:
- Collaborate with clients to understand business processes and gather detailed requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis between client needs and Odoo’s standard features.
2. System Configuration & Setup:
- Configure Odoo modules (e.g., Sales, Inventory, Accounting, CRM, HR, Manufacturing) according to client requirements.
- Set up users, roles, workflows, and access rights.
3. Functional Implementation:
- Customize workflows and business logic using Odoo Studio or built-in configuration tools.
- Ensure smooth integration of various Odoo modules to match business processes.
4. Data Migration & Import:
- Assist in importing legacy data (e.g., products, customers, sales orders) into Odoo.
- Perform data cleansing, mapping, and testing before go-live.
5. User Training & Support:
- Train end-users on Odoo functionality and best practices.
- Create user manuals and provide ongoing support post-implementation.
6. Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Test configured modules to ensure they meet client requirements.
- Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with stakeholders.
7. Go-Live & Post-Implementation Support:
- Support deployment and ensure system readiness for go-live.
- Provide hypercare support during the transition to production use.
8. Communication & Documentation:
- Maintain detailed documentation of implementation activities and configurations.
- Communicate regularly with internal teams and clients about project progress and risks.
9. Issue Resolution & Troubleshooting:
- Identify functional issues or user errors and provide timely solutions.
- Work with technical teams for advanced troubleshooting or custom development needs.
10. Process Improvement & Consulting:
- Recommend business process improvements based on Odoo best practices.
- Act as a trusted advisor to help clients get the most value from Odoo.
Preferred Skills & Tools:
- Strong knowledge of Odoo functional modules (v13–v17).
- Basic understanding of accounting, supply chain, sales, or HR processes.
- Familiarity with Odoo.sh or community/enterprise versions.
- Experience with spreadsheets, CSV imports, and basic data manipulation.
- Good communication and client-facing skills.
